The government announced that it will increase the funding limit of the special fund for "Special Fund for Brand Development, Upgrading and Transformation, and Expanding the Domestic Market", raising the cumulative funding cap for each enterprise to NT$7 million, and increasing the maximum number of approved projects to 70; in 2021 The geographical scope of funding has been expanded in phases from 20 economies to 37 to cover all economies that have signed investment promotion and protection agreements with Hong Kong.
The "BUD Special Fund" aims to explore and develop Mainland China/ASEAN businesses by providing financial assistance to individual companies to assist them in implementing projects related to brand development, upgrading and transformation, and expanding domestic sales. The "BUD Special Fund" has been further optimized this year, allowing enterprises to flexibly use the total funding limit of $6 million to implement projects in the Mainland or in other economies that have signed free trade agreements with Hong Kong. In addition, enterprises that participate in virtual exhibitions organized by relevant government agencies or exhibitors with good reputation and track record can also benefit from funding from the "BUD Special Fund".

The upper limit of advertising budget expenditure is 50% of the total budget expenditure of the entire project.

Initial funding: up to 75% of the initially approved government funding
